The New Adventures of Grossmalerman #1 is a nasty, bloody tale starring the louche and loathsome artist Jonathan Grossmalerman, Smit's drug-addled and alcoholic star of The Jonathan Grossmalerman Stand Up Comedy Series. The New Adventures of Grossmalerman #1 tells of some rather violent hijinks that take place at Jonathan's gallery opening, involving accidental decapitation, egomania, international intrigue, butchery, shady backroom dealing, gore, insecurity, bloodshed, dismemberment, and other everyday art world goings-on. Regency will publish two more comics in this series over the course of the year.

Guy Richards Smit makes paintings and videos, and performs with his band as alter ego Maxi Geil! and PlayColt. He has been exhibiting domestically and internationally for a decade, and Maxi Geil! and PlayColt have performed in various venues throughout New York City and the UK.
